Conference For Area Small Farmers On Feb. 15

Essentials for successful farming is the theme for an upcoming Southern Tier Regional Small Farm Conference being held on Saturday, February 15, at the Schuyler County Human Services Complex; 323 Owego St; Montour Falls, NY

The program planned by the South Central NY Agriculture Extension staff will include a morning session focused on business topics followed by two concurrent sessions in the afternoon, one for livestock producers and one for fruit and vegetable producers. 

Registration starts at 9:00am and the program runs from 9:30am to 4:00pm.  Topics offered during the day include: business opportunities, marketing, recordkeeping, grazing, animal health, water management, and soils.  For a complete agenda visit: www.scnyag.org or call 607-535-7161. Advance registration is requested by Feb. 11.  The program cost is $20 per person; $30 per couple.
